In 2015, caring for her grandson during a family crisis led to job loss and homelessness. "I never thought I'd be on the other side," Angela reflects, describing her subsequent struggles working multiple difficult jobs while battling depression and alcohol dependence.

Recovery and Renewal
Angela achieved sobriety through spirituality and AA participation. Currently weighing 310 pounds (20 away from her goal), she lives in transitional housing while working toward permanent housing.
She adopted Yodi, a dog abandoned at her shelter, using daily walks for emotional and physical support.
Looking Forward
Angela plans to document her journey in a memoir and is working with SparkPoint on financial stability and credit development. Her story demonstrates the power of compassionate, comprehensive healthcare in transforming lives.
