Finding a Friend and an Advocate
When Maria Sánchez first came into Mari's home, it felt like a visit from an old friend. CHWs like Maria Sánchez are frontline workers and trusted members of the community who offer patients with complex medical, behavioral, and social needs a steady shoulder to lean on.
